Looking for your favorite RF maps ever made. They don't have to be the best maps ever, just ones you always love to play.

Can be from any gametype, any mod, any timeframe, etc.

For me, it's pretty equal between Microfaction 6 and Shotgun Wedding

What are yours?

Fffffff... too many categories of favorite. The ones I like the most aesthetically? The ones I had the most fun on? The ones that play the best?

School2
Microfaction 1, 2, 5
pdm02
ctf06
dm02
KRU Run
Runner's Revenge
Disco Run 2.1
Almost all of the LEGO MP DMs
Temple Ruins
Town 2 ("Nick, why are you moving so fast?" "Because I'm stuck to a fucking train.")
Winter Westside

"2" features heavily in this :|

Well obviously CTF02, it was a stroke of genius. The upper spawns were right by the rocket and the game was glitch heavy at birth, so at the start of the game you'd see a stream of rockets, real awesome.

The person spawning lower down would have the advantage to get the amp that lasts an incorrect amount of time because the rocket spam would change the framerate of the game causing the amp to last longer.

The players travelling lower down to avoid all this would get to enjoy being at a further disadvantage due to an armour missing.

Meanwhile, none of the community gave a shit because it was in their nature to cheat, the map was so terrible it was actually fun.

Community maps, I don't really have a favourite. The worst mapper would create maps that would crash your system, the mediocre mapper wouldn't get noticed and the best mapper stole from maps that were ten times more fun in their original game

Hi all!

Among my personal favorites are Jerusalem and the Village (if my memory serves me correctly), because almost every wall in them can be destroyed.
I immensely enjoyed RIC's high-quality remakes of Lobby, Sewers and Hangar - he put a great amount of detail and creativity.
I like almost every microfaction map, used to play that Christmas map at the end of each year (before 2013).
There are many original and creative RF maps, some are true masterpieces.
It's hard to select 'the best' maps from several GiBs of VPPs.
Sadly, I don't play RF anymore - the server tracker is dead.

Luv ya all, Leute! Thanks for all the great maps!

What are you talking about? The tracker is working.

Thanks for the hope!
Frankly, I thought the game to be at last officially 'dead'.

I set the PF and RF launchers to use your game tracker "rfgt.factionfiles.com" (as shown here: http://www.factionfiles.com/ff.php?action=dbpage&id=1),
but the servers' list in the "Join Game" submenu is empty still.

I just want to make sure:

In the game settings tab in PF Launcher, you clicked on Set Default Tracker and than the Save Settings Button correct?

EDIT
Anyway, if that still does not work, I am sure we can find a way to get the tracker working for you.

A temporary fix would be to go to this link here:

-R:M- Online Server Browser (#1 Run Clan)

Now after clicking that link look on the right side, you can see server IP number's and ports. You should be able to add servers by IP and port (at the PF server menu). Don't worry you will not have to add the servers every time you play. Once you add servers, they are automatically added to your favorites list.

In fact, I'll agree the RF Tracker isn't the best quality and even myself sometimes just add IP's even though a large percentage of the time the tracker works for me.

Yes, of course, I pasted the given addresses into the "Tracker" textbox and pressed the "Save Settings" button, triple-checked everything, the settings are persistent.
I'll try to download the latest version of PF (I'm using PF 3.0), but I doubt that'll help.

Ok well I edited my post after you read it, so please re-read it at the bottom of page 1. There is another way you can still play RF without using the tracker. Hopefully, this will just be temporary.

Thanks, man, the last link is awesome!

Now i'm able to manually add servers and right now I've joined a game as Default ;)

Hold on, Red Faction! Soon I'll get a job in the game industry and pay back for all the fun!
