Hey faction fans!

Its been a very long time since i was very active in the community! And i fancy a bit of red Faction Action - Although i'm not sure if it will work with windows 7 ?

Also can I host servers under windows 7?

If the answer is yes to the above - could someone point me to an off site resource to download it? torrent or megaupload etc

The game works well on Windows 7. Sometimes you may need to do a few tweaks like the ones here

Servers also work fine on 7. I wrote a server guide, you should read it

There is a small version of RF designed specifically to run servers, and you can get that here. You can't use it to play the game, though.

If you're looking for a copy of the game, you can usually buy it cheaply on Steam or eBay.

RF's installed, server's up, I'm getting pooned by everybody as usual!

I got a too high ping to play or test if your server is good (~200)

Anyway good luck and I can only advise to put some standard maps like WL(ctf02)/Checkmate(ctf05) because a lot of people like to play on these maps.

Set net fps, the console fps, interleaving if using adsl -- server will be ok.
