Galileo 2 Starliner, on its way to Jupiter 3 Station, received a distress call from a small ship that crashed on Jupiter’s moon, Io. While Galileo 2 was attempting to reach the stranded ship, disaster hit. Whatever caused the small ship to lose power and crash on the moon, was now affecting Galileo 2. With no way to control the ship, it was now on a collision course with Io. There were very few survivors…
This is the original map I started, with a crashed ship on Jupiter’s moon Io, before I got side tracked and turned the ship into its own map, "Galileo 2 Starliner" ( https://www.factionfiles.com/ff.php?action=file&id=8119 )
I wanted to rotate the inside of the ship to match the outside but RED wouldn't let me, it just created a shitton of holes. So the illusion is broken a bit when you go from outside to inside but whatevs.
Changes for version 1.1:
- Added a "Low Graphics Mode" that disables most particle emitters and dynamic lights, and hides most of the small no collide meshes, for a performance boost.
- Reduced lightmap resolution on giant bonus terrain from "Highest" to "Lowest" which reduces the rfl size by 82% and hopefully speeds up load times.
- Swapped a couple assets with smaller versions.
- Added some more respawn points.
- Added an exit sign above the door in engineering that lets the players into the other area of the ship, so it's easier to find your way out.
- Added another lava amb sound to the lava fall.
- A few other small tweaks.

Gameplay Notes:
- Hit your use key at any time mid jump, to activate a short burst from your thruster pack and travel much further distances.
- Double tap your use key at any time to switch between "Normal" and "Low" Graphics modes.
- There is a bonus giant terrain to explore, like I did in Europa One Outpost ( https://www.factionfiles.com/ff.php?action=file&id=8108 ), accessible by using the teleporter malfunction portal inside Galileo 2. This terrain is only supported in Direct X 11 mode. If you are in Direct X 9 mode then the teleporter will just spit you right back into Galileo 2 after some time in space.
- The broken teleporter booth in Galileo 2 Engineering area will trigger a mini battle royale that will pull all the players in the map into engineering. This can only be triggered once every 2 min.

Other Notes:
- This map requires Alpine Faction v1.3 or newer ( https://alpinefaction.com ) to run.
- This map runs faster and looks best using the new Direct3D 11 renderer in the alpine faction launcher settings, so highly recommended to use that option if you have a dedicated GPU that supports it.
- If you need more performance in DX11, then try switching to vertex lighting mode instead of pixel lighting mode. (Console command "r_meshlighting 1")
- Don't hit alt or alt+tab while the map is loading. Alt is AF's shortcut to force close RF when RF is taking a while to load something.

Bugs:
- If you use your thruster pack and hit something above you, you will get stuck to that brush until the thruster pack turns off.
- Since rockets are affected by push regions and the thruster pack is a solo triggered push region. Where you see the rocket could be different then what the server sees. So you could potentially kill or be killed by rockets that looked like they missed.
- If you have your music volume setting turned all the way down before loading the map, none of the music will play, even if you turn the setting back up after loading the map. It needs to have some volume prior to loading for the music to work.
