An old buggy hoard shooter SP campaign I made in 2004 that was on L4Y, that Intharth wanted me to upload here.

Fair warning, I was not very good in RED in 2004 lol. The levels are basically just over stuffed entity filled boxes. The exit door on each box is unlocked by killing a certain entity in the level.

The original file on L4Y was an installer, I just converted it to a zip for here. Nothing was changed, complete with the original typo filled bad grammar readme written by teen me.

Just drag the contents of the zip file to your Red Faction directory and that should put everything in its proper spot.

Run the campaign by selecting "Ambush2Mod" from the mod list in your alpine faction launcher. Then once in game, open the console (~) and type: level "{DVL}Ambush2lvl1"
You have to put the quotes around the level name due to the special characters.

Notes:
*Do not attempt to save your game, that will break the levels because they are way over the entity limit for save game files.
*This was made for playing with god mode on (vivalahelvig). It will not be beatable without, unless maybe if you just geo your way to the exit doors and hide from all the enemies haha.
*The game will likely crash every now and then. When that happens just look at the screenshot to try to determine what level you were on and just go directly back to that level with the console command.


One day I will go back and fix the bugs and the bad audio and add back in unused levels and extra content. Not sure when that day will be though.
