A map made for RFU8. The theme was board games so we made a map based on the 6 biomes of Catan - Wood, Wheat, Sheep, Brick, Mountain, Desert. Every biome is its own self contained little map, connected to every other terrain through teleport tunnels. The 6 terrains and skyboxes were made in Bryce 7. Around 3 months of work went into building this map, spread out over the past year.

The map has a day and night. It starts out as night and after about 2:25min it switches to day and opens up the treehouse, barn, and 2 ships for some new play areas.

This map would probably be best with 15+ players because of the large size.

Other Notes:
- This map requires Alpine Faction (https://alpinefaction.com) to run.
- This is a beefy map, with more geometry then any of my other maps as well as 160 custom meshes, so don't expect super high performance. I average 140-500fps depending on the biome.

The day & night cycle are also a welcome addition. Personally, I would have added a bit more wheat on the "grain" hex but it's not that big of a deal. As a fan of the Settlers of Catan board game, I enjoyed playing this and I recommend it.

Every biome brings its own unique design and playspace to the map and each one could be a map in its own right. The dedication to creating amazingly high detailed play spaces is on full display here and IAC nailed it in each biome. The day/night cycle is also super cool, with light changes to the map. Loved the minutia in detail aswell - for instance, you can shear a sheep! If you want to "explore" a map in Red Faction, this map is perfect to just wander and take in the sights! Amazing work IAC <3
