Introducing the Red Faction Unite 7 Community Mapping Project!

Contained within this pack are the 3 Assault (CTF) maps created by various community mappers for the RFU7 Community Mapping Project.

What is RFU?
Red Faction Unite is a collaborative Red Faction (1) community level design project in which participants each design a level which adheres to a common theme, then all the levels are released collectively in a map pack. The first 4 incarnations of the project (RFU1 - RFU4) were in 2004 and 2005, the fifth (RFU5) was in 2020, and the sixth (RFU6) was in 2021.

What's the theme for RFU7?
RFU7 has no visual theme constraints, rather each submitted map must be "Assault-Style", meaning it features asymmetric attack/defend style gameplay.

Your time and effort paid off dividends. The experience was refreshing, unique and left me craving more assault maps. A few observations. All 3 maps utilized the RED dash updates to an inspiring degree. These new assault maps offer a totally different experience in tactical teamwork and gameplay. Assault game-mode fits in Red Faction like a glove. Similar to a CTF map, good map layout and balance is crucial, but at the same time, completely different approach than a CTF map, making it an intriguing challenge to solve. All 3 mappers were onto something interesting with their maps and each offer totally different approaches to Assault strategy, which was exciting, refreshing and could open a new door in RF that perpetuates its lifetime even longer. Bravo gentlemen.
