What's new in V1.0_C: Fixed minor HUD bug that caused HUD to appear low res at certain health values. Misc prepping for final V1.1 patch.

Red Faction Classic is a modification for Red Faction that aims to faithfully port/remake the original PS2 version for the PC version. With multiplayer improvements from the PC version.

Features:
* Entire PS2 campaign ported directly from the original files for authenticity
* All weapons and entities restored to PS2 settings
* Original PS2 multiplayer roster (with the 7 PS2 exclusive characters)
* PS2 inspired multiplayer that keeps the improvements PC made for a more fleshed out, pleasant multiplayer experience with others
* Compatibility with custom made PC maps (powerups are intact)
* Bundled versions of Goober's PS2 map ports that have music restored
* DM, TDM and CTF compatibility
* HUD edited to match PS2 aesthetics as closely as possible
* Any sounds that were different in the PS2 version have been changed here to match
* PS2 inspired main menu
* Marooned replaces Glass House as the bonus map

Maniac · Wed 5 Apr 2023, 10:42 · 0 User Rating: 👍 Recommended!   This is the perfect mod for someone who played Red Faction on PS2 and will play for the first time on PC. Lighting and levels are the same as on PS2. It's nice that there are characters for multiplayer like on PS2. I feel the PS2 vibe.
