Description
Sequel to the original 'Nights of the Pirates' map.

Set in a Spanish Port on a Jamaican Island in the 1600s. A full moon night illuminates the town as raiding Pirates take port.

'Return of the Pirates' has the same street layout as the original map (with some improvements) and includes a few original buildings and objects from the original level, such as the lighthouse, pirate ship and a few small buildings. The rest of the map was re-developed and re-imagined.

Really nice looking map. Crazy level of detail. I found myself just walking around admiring everything, more then playing haha. Especially the palm trees. I would have loved to have trees that nice for a couple island maps I made back in the day. This map is one of my favourites from today's game night.

That was really cool, the vegetation is stunning for RF. Sadly RF related there are some performance problems on big style open maps like this. I noticed it by myself especially for the Fire enmitters. Overall i really enjoyed it, wish there would be a soundtrack playing.

Man RoMeK, you've outdone yourself on this one. This is one of the most visually stunning maps I've ever seen in this game, and I feel like I'm saying that super often with your maps these days :P

We're still in the early days of exploring the possibilities opened up by the Switch_Model event in multiplayer, and you're right at the forefront of that. It's awesome to see such a great "remaster" of your previous Night of the Pirates map (that I also loved) that stays relatively faithful to the original while improving on every aspect. I also love the use of the TF2 textures and models - they fit really well in this setting.

Great work, I expect this will be super fun at game night.

PS. If you're looking to give the same "remaster" treatment to some of your other maps, might I recommend RFU2 Jurassic Park? :P It's already a fan favorite, and I'm absolutely certain you would do a stellar job remastering it with custom models and the like.
