Contest for "Red faction unite 5" (RFU5). Make a map that is heavily inspired from an existing game. For this I choose
Shadowgrounds Survivor by Frozenbyte which is a top down shooter and recommend anyone to look into it. Frozenbyte is a small but talented development team who make top quality games, be sure to check their other games.

Originally the submission date was very short and i started the map rushing, later the submission date had massively increased but didn't want to go back on myself. Maybe this map could have been a little better.

I tried really hard to have full geo in this map which i just managed to do. I have found only in recent years that geo is very entertaining to the player as well as changing the outcome of a maps game play.

I only have one problem, and if there's a solution already, please disregard this review. The issue I have is that I occasionally lose the skybox and some of the textures. I am running the Steam version of RF & am running Alpine Faction via wine on Arch Linux. Other than that, it's a great, tight map, and yeah, watch out for that turret!!!

One thing that could use some improvement is maybe somehow limiting the geo a bit (this map "glitches" very quickly on the FF bots server). Even so, I love playing it every time.

Great brush work, the turret is really cool and fun that the buildings are almost all geoable. Nice looking map!

The visuals fit perfect in Red Faction, the item layout is really nice, the geometry is fantastic, and wow that chaingun. I am still in awe of how well it works. Great work BATEMAN! I can't wait to play this map at Game Night this weekend.
