All EDF Soldiers are Heavies. Believe. Also, if you want to change the EDF Class yourself, edit the modinfo file, go to edit (assuming you're using notepad), go to replace, and type in EDF_Elite_Heavy, and either type in EDF_Grunt_Braun, EDF_Trooper, EDF_Elite, or EDF_Officer_May. Enjoy!

On the other note--

it is possible to change the main character's mesh/character? I've tried doing this for 4 hours straight, and still nothing, game just CTDs. I've been trying to get Mason to appear like an EDF Elite.

I meant to choose one where Mason was behind cover, with a squad of heavies advancing toward him. Anyways, hope you enjoyed it yourself, having 2-ton EDF troops stomping around and all.
