For some unknown reason i can't pack or unpack the misc.vpp_pc file using gibbeds pack or unpack tools. They both keep crashing. Is there any way i can fix the crashing?

I never had much luck with gibbeds pack/unpack tools. You could try using WinRed instead, it uses the same tools but with a GUI, which makes the whole process a lot easier:

Now I don't know if this will work or not but RF (Red Faction) has a tool that can be found on the site for .vpps could try that it's a pack so you get the whole deal.

The Descent Manager tools won't work with RFG so don't bother with that.

Gibbed's tools are .net-based I believe so make sure your frameworks are up to date. I'm not sure what version he used.

The latest version of his tools is available on his SVN. I thought he used to provide compiled binaries but I can't find them
