I map on and off and I often forget hotkeys in between so I was wondering if anyone has a list of hotkeys and their functions.

Specifically I want to know how to snap an object's orientation, so if anyone can help me with that, that would be great, but if anyone has a comprehensive list of hotkeys, that would be even better.

And here is a big paste of some other ones:

Quoting ice

Use ( Ctrl + G ) to align every thing objects and Brushes
Use ( O ) to orient all objects and brushes
Use ( Ctrl + Z ) the UNDO stuff (suppose you made a mistake, coincidentally deleting something) ( Ctrl + Z ) to the rescue
Use ( Ctrl + Y ) to REDO stuff ( suppose you Hit (Ctrl + Z) to many times and UNDID to many things) (Ctrl + Y) to the rescue
Use ( Q ) to LOCK selected Brushes (or grey them out ) Make them unelectable in Texture, Brush, Vertex, Group Mode
Use ( Shift + Q ) to UNLOCK all brushes
Use ( W ) to hide all objects
Use ( Shift + W ) Unhide all objects
Use ( H ) to Hide selected Objects and Brushes
Use ( H + Shift ) to unhide selected brushes and objects.
Use Space bar to quickly rebuild Geometry in all Editor modes
Use ( Ctrl + C ) to COPY brushes, objects and UV Unwraps
Use ( Ctrl + V ) to PASTE COPIED brushes, objects and UV Unwraps
(when i say Copy UV unwrap i mean you can select 1 face and hit ( Ctrl + C )
then select as many faces as you want and hit ( Ctrl + V )to Paste those UV
unwraps) *this does not mean you will be copying the Textures*


"O" sounds like what you're looking for

Ah, yes that list. Just to name a few more.

Use ( B ) to Teleport the cookie cutter to your Camera (free look) location.(brush mode only)
(Remember to use "ctrl + g" and re-align it to the grid before you do anything.)
Use (Ctrl + P) opens properties of brushs, objects and textures.

Use (Home) to teleport your all cameras to the little green starting man.

Use ( - ) and ( = ) (the keys next to backspace) to zoom your "view ports" in
and out in 1/2 scale increments.

Hold (S) and press the "arrow keys" (up) or (down) in texture mode to change the UV
Unwrap's (ie. scale) of a texture by 1/2 (with a 1 face or many selected)

Use (Shift + S) in texture mode to select all faces on a brush. (you need at-least 1
face selected on the desired brush prior to this.)

Press (I) to inverse the selection of brush's, textures, objects, nodes (vertices)
a common use is to select a few brush's in a crowd of the them, hit (I) to
inverse the selection, then (Ctrl + Q) to lock the brush's you (basically)
don't want to touch. Same with objects, except use (H) to hide them.

Press (C) to teleport your "view ports" to your camera's location.

Press ( Ctrl + p ) to bring up properties of currently selected entity

Press ( k ) to link two selected objects

Press ( d ) with a brush selected to bring up the stretch dialog box

Press ( x ) with a brush selected to bring up the clipping tool

Press ( Ctrl + h ) to invert hidden brushes. If a some brushes are hidden, using this will show the hidden brushes and hide everything else

Press ( t ) to teleport camera

press ( u ) to select a specific entity with a given uid

Press ( l ) to calculate lightmaps

Press ( [ ) or ( ] ) to decrease or increase grid size respectively. In the UV Unwrap box this controls the movement incrementation in the same way

Press ( Shift + [ ) or ( Shift + ] ) to decrease or increase rotate by field respectively. In the UV Unwrap box this controls the rotation incrementation in the same way

Press ( Ctrl + m ) to morph in

Press ( b ) with a face selected to bring up bevel tool

Those's are a few that came to mind. :) hope it helps.
