Description
I was just experimenting with one of the panorama's I shot, to see if I could convert it into a seamless skybox, even though I never shot a top and bottom image. One of my trials ended up with this really trippy surreal sky, which kind of looks like you are falling through a portal to a parallel world. I thought it looked pretty neat but don't really have any map ideas it would fit, so hopefully someone else will. The skybox can be rotated in any direction to create different feels and effects.

I've included 2 versions, a 1024x versions with some lens blur applied that makes the map pop a bit more and the sky blend more as a distant background. As well as a super crisp 2048x version, if you want the sky to be front and center in full focus. I've included both TGA and DDS versions of the textures. The DDS versions have an 80% smaller file size for the same quality, so you’re going to want to drop those in your .VPP and remove the .TGA's when the map is ready to be uploaded.

The location of the shot is the peak of Mt. Fisher in Cranbook, British Columbia, Canada. This is the highest summit on the Southern Rocky Mountains, at an elevation of 2846 m (9336 ft.).
