someone was making a 1st person mod for RFG but never released the code.

does anyone know how it might of been done? all i can do is move the camera in close over the shoulder or really far back.

Goober probably still has the stuff for this somewhere. I don't think it was done with RF:G's modding tools.

It never did work very well, but I'll look for the beta in my RF:G files. Not 100% sure I still have it though.

Please see above. It's not the exact incarnation of the mod that was shown on the video. That version of the mod I do not have anymore, and was incredibly buggy (the third-person player model clipping in and out of the camera repeatedly, and I couldn't figure out how to hide the player model). The mod I linked above is the closest I could get to first-person while not being incredibly buggy.

No problem man. As I said, that's the closest to first person I got while still remaining playable. If I get some free time in the next little while I might take another look and see about making a better one.

I assume if you zoom the camera in like that you make using a high fov pointless?
