Description
One of the most unique Red Faction mods ever made, CORNDOG is a wild trip through a custom single player campaign and modified multiplayer maps with heavily amped weapons.

Original description follows:

This mod has new maps 4 new (STCD) ctf maps. 6 NEW (FIGHT) DM maps 4 charecter changes. almost all wepons are changed. some objects are new. the SP is replaced with my SP map. new glass house sorta I made it bigger. New sounds.

NOTE: I WANT PEOPLE TO HOST GAMES ON MULTIPLAYER WITH THIS MOD I WOULD IF I COULD. I CAN ONLY JOIN SERVERS.

I hope every one likes the modd that I have created.

Ok, to start: this mod is incredible. Go play it now if you haven't already.

Now, with that out of the way, let's elaborate...

Team Corndog was made almost exactly 20 years ago (September 2003) and is seriously a masterpiece. It's not constructed especially well: most of the maps have questionably placed objects, most of the weapon changes are seemingly nonsensical, the balance is at times quite brutal, and well... the campaign begins by playing the Summoner trailer. Looking beyond all of that though, this is legitimately one of the most creative mods/games I've ever played. The story is coherent and engaging (even if somewhat wacky), and the author had a crystal clear vision that they saw through right to the very end. The end product is, despite its imperfections, really fun to play through, and somewhat of a time capsule to all of us from the Red Faction modding community of 2003.

I would recommend this mod to anyone seeking a truly unique experience.

I wish I knew more about the circumstances that led to this mod existing. If its author ever reads this review: first off, I hope the past two decades have treated you well. Second, please reach out to me if you want to chat about this mod. I'd absolutely love to hear the story behind it. :)
